AFL Fantasy – Dream Team Wrap Up – Round 15
July 15, 2008 by Jesse Penfold
Another turbulent round of Dream Team, with a lot of surprising scores (both good and bad), and several outs that will concern many as finals approach (I am sure Gary Ablett has almost everyone holding their breath at the moment, as either you have him and want him to play, or you don’t, meaning the person you are playing probably does).
Personally I lost the grudge match against fellow DHF’er TH (putting my finals campaign in serious doubt). That is all I have to say on that subject, so now let’s get to the wrap up for round 15.

Captains Review for Round 15
As far as the captains selections went this round I was on fire like Lloyd Banks. My personal captain Bartel clocked up the 5th best score of the round with 134, I also recommended Ablett (I know he only got 64 but that was in one half of football due to the injury, so I am marking that down as a win – call me a cheat if you like) and Corey (121) giving me three massive ticks right off the bat. I also nailed Nick Riewoldt (121) but was way off the mark with Marc Murphy, and Dane Swan (90) left a little to be desired as well. JB and Kane Cornes both managed 100, while my surprise pick Matty Boyd (122) killed it (although calling Boyd a surprise pick is showing him no respect for what he has done this season – this week he shoved it up everyone who picked Cross over him). Even my tentative selection of Cox (152) brought home the bacon.
All in all 7 out of my 10 captain tips got to at least the elusive 100 mark (I included Ablett in those stats even though he would have reached 100 in his sleep if he didn’t miss an entire half).

That is all for now – look out for our captains preview post around Thursday, and don’t forget about TH’s eliminator posts as he continues to march through the competition.

I went with Boyd on your advice JP, and it paid off, great stuff!
