AFL Round 19 Tipping Preview

Another big weekend of games in the AFL as teams jockey for positions in the finals.

Let’s take a look at DieHard Footy picks for Round 19:

SB’s Line: Take the +60.5 Melbourne

Whoever did the fixture at the AFL must have either been high or drunk when they decided on Melbourne and Geelong to kick off Round 19 on Friday night at the MCG. Melbourne are coming off a four goal loss to Essendon last Saturday whilst Geelong continued on their merry way smashing Richmond at the Telstra Dome. The last time these two sides met was in Round 3 at Skilled Stadium where the Demons gave Geelong a scare before the Cats won by 30 points.

Both teams have made multiple changes with Melbourne losing Aaron Davey amongst others with a foot injury whilst they regain the services of Nathan Jones after a stint in the magoos. Geelong have brought back Gary Ablett after a few weeks out with an ankle injury whilst Dasher Milburn is out for a week at the hands of the AFL Tribunal.

Its impossible to see how Melbourne will win this game as the Cats have them covered easily all over the park. The Demons are playing better footy than they were when these sides first met at the start of the year so I don’t expect this to be a huge blowout.
