AFL Trade Week News From Wednesday
Well well well, we have a confirmed trade. And what a blockbuster…
- Port Adelaide’s Adam Thomson appears Richmond bound for their 3rd round pick, pick 42.
Over halfway through the week now though and things should slowly start to heat up. Here’s the developments from Wednesday…
- The Kangaroos have now officially taken ruckman Hamish McIntosh off the market, ending one of the strangest mini-sagas of the week.
- In an unprecedented move, the AFL has sent in one of their own lawyers to help mediate a possible deal between Carlton and Freo for Robbie Warnock. To say this has stirred up some talk would be an understatement - why is the AFL deciding to get involved being the number one talking point.
- Reigning premiers Hawthorn appear set to add Ryan O’Keefe to their list after it seems he has agreed to play for a deal which is less than his current Swans contract. The Swans are likely to request pick 16 and a player - Tim Boyle is one name that has been thrown around.
- The Swans are keen on Brad Green, with Melbourne possibly looking to Sydney for help in a deal to get Robbie Warnock.
- Melbourne has also shown interest on big Hawk Simon Taylor.
- A few Cats may be parting - Prismall has interest from both Essendon and Melbourne, Shannon Byrnes may go into the Pre Season Draft, and Tom Lonergan is apparently unhappy with the deal he has been offered.

Ill wake up for Friday
Guess not much has been happening because everyone wants their draft picks as this is the last ‘proper’ draft for 5 odd years with the Gold Coast and West Sydney coming in.
I did not hear anything about Simon Talyor and Lonergan so thats something new. Think Lonergan is a flop anyway…
