Full AFL Trade Week Wrap - The Confirmed, The Rejected and The Deals That Couldn’t Get Done
Well finally we saw some action in trade week…
We’ll have a full analysis of these trades in a later post, but for the time being, let’s give you all the updates from Friday, the final day of Trade Week:
The Confirmed
- Rhyce Shaw and Pick 61 to Sydney for Pick 46
- Anthony Corrie to Collingwood for Pick 93
- Farren Ray and Pick 48 to St Kilda for Pick 31
- Brent Prismall to Essendon for Pick 39
- Robert Warnock and Pick 69 to Carlton for Pick 24, Pick 56, and Pick 72
The Rejected
- The Adelaide Crows apparently rejected Brisbane’s offer of a straight swap of Jamie Charman for Kurt Tippett
- Brad Green will stay at Melbourne after accepting a new 3 year deal
The Deals That Couldn’t Get Done
- Ryan O’Keefe will head to the Pre-Season Draft or sign a new deal with Sydney
- Andrew Lovett looks set to remain at Essendon
- Mark Seaby will stay at the West Coast Eagles
- Daniel Harris will stay at North Melbourne

Would anyone go to Adelaide if they could help it?!?
Early favourite looks to be Carlton if he goes to the PSD.
What do you think Seaby will do in ‘09? It will be a bit awkward in the changrooms considering he was so public about his feelings to step out of Cox’s shadow. Do you think he will just cop it on the chin and hope at the end of next year he will get a deal?
Seaby is a very level headed person and I think it will make him even more determined to make up for 08. He is good enough to play ‘resting’ in the forward line while not rucking which could almost allow Cox to play as a midfield and Seaby ruck…


















Will we see O’Keefe in the pre season draft? Could the Demons afford to pick him up? Would he go to Adelaide?
Are there any other non contracted players who did not get traded?
