Rawlings To Take Over Richmond Coaching Job

June 6, 2009 by Tristan Heffernan

Richmond has just announced Coburg coach Jade Rawlings as their caretaker coach until the end of the 2009 season. The Tigers released the following short statement:

The Richmond Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Jade Rawlings as interim Senior Coach until the end of the 2009 season.

Short but sweet.

Rawlings will get every opportunity to kick off with a win considering his side takes on a struggling West Coast Eagles side in Melbourne for his first game.

What are your thoughts on the appointment? Is he merely warming the seat for a big name next season? Leave us a comment!
